Hiking dog of Nanaimo & Kootenay winter

Nanaimo, February, 2019

This past month we had some good and some bad weather. I took advantage of the good days by getting out for a hike along the Nanaimo River with Nekko and his parents. Anytime I dog sit my nephew Nekko is a good day. He loves it when I take him to his favorite off leash park, Colliery Dam.

I also managed to get out for a trail ride at Colliery Dam this past month before the snow hit.

From Nanaimo to the Kootenays

Last month I headed to Silverton to visit friends and family. The Kootenay’s are just as pretty in the winter as they are in the summer. However, I can’t wait to go back in the summer with my mountain bike. This is going to be a great year for hiking and biking.
