Sunday Outing
I decided to take a quick road trip to Victoria this past Sunday to go tripod shopping. It's hard to believe I have been taking photos this whole time hand held or with my mono pod. I got a really nice Manfrotto carbon fiber tripod and I am excited to put it into action.
On the way back from Victoria I stopped along one of the many rest stops and took a few quick shots. The view is amazing, but it was quite hazy. When I finally made it back to Nanaimo, I quickly set up my new tripod and set off to Jack Point to see if I could get there before the sun dipped behind the clouds. I didn't quite make it, but the sun ending up creating some spectacular colours behind the distant clouds.
